Project acceptance. Upon completion, a comprehensive acceptance inspection should be conducted, focusing on aspects such as building structure, HVAC, ventilation, water supply and drainage, power and low-voltage (network, communications, monitoring, lightning protection, and electrical equipment grounding), fire protection (smoke detectors, sprinklers, fire doors), and decoration.

The process must be operational and must not be a formality. For steps requiring approval, each department should designate a dedicated person and set a time limit for approval according to the approval process. Any undue delay in approval for laboratory renovations will be held accountable.

The project manager of the construction unit, as the primary responsible person, must play a primary supervisory role during the construction phase. The construction unit's safety and fire protection officers must be clearly identified in the contract and must conduct regular inspections of material stacking, waste removal, and fire-fighting equipment during construction, promptly rectifying any issues identified.

The final acceptance inspection is the final safety hazard assessment step in laboratory renovations. This work not only impacts the safety of the laboratory itself, but also potentially affects the safety of other rooms and even the entire building, preventing potential hazards during subsequent laboratory use.
